Se nota cada día más en esta ciudad el auge  de la afición a eso de montar en bicicleta, aunque con matices. Carmona no es precisamente el mejor sitio para adquirir esa costumbre, entre que su viario está diseñado para autos y la cuesta de la “garrapata” (en teoría digo yo querrá decir “agarrapatas” ) hace imposible adquirir ese hábito como medio de transporte. Prueba de ello es que pronto lo que llaman “el carril bici” pasará a la historia como lo es el “carril del aguardiente”. No obstante, Carmona, por su situación geográfica ha sido y es un lugar de “excursiones” por muchos conocida. Una lástima que no esté incluida en el “Camino de Santiago” en la sección de “moritos reconvertidos”. Era cuando los deportistas  fumaban y bebían, 1897.
