FILATELIA

¿Hay algo en Carmona que, sea no ya de admiración, sino de simple curiosidad qué pueda exponerse siquiera en una accesoria pequeñita del museo local realizado por un hijo de aquí ? Me temo que no si exceptuamos unas cuantas pinturas. Fuera de eso, esta ciudad no es cuna de artistas en ninguna de sus disciplinas, solo ofrece lo que en  tiempos remotos  otros nos dejaron  por encargo y llegado el caso, incluso ignorante de sus autores.  Quizás señal inequívoca de que solo se trataba de fanfarronería. Pero bueno, “la marca Carmona” tiene más cosas además de las referidas, que por ahí en otros museos la gente admira. 1909

Is there something in Carmona that, whether no longer of admiration, but of simple curiosity that can be exhibited even in a tiny antics of the local museum made by a son here ? I'm afraid not if we exclude a few paintings. Other than that, this city is not the birthplace of artists in any of its disciplines, it only offers what in ancient times others left us to order and, if necessary, even ignorant of its authors.  Unequivocal signal that it was just bragging. But well, "the Carmona brand" has more than those referred to, which out there in other museums people admire. 1909
