No sé yo muy bien cómo enfocar esta entrada. La verdad es que tampoco nunca lo he sabido. Pero es la entrada que toca. Y toca por la razón que toca. El dichoso huracán filipino. ¿Cómo obviar diez mil muertos y la gente se robe a sí misma en las desgracias como allí está ocurriendo? Una herencia más de las nuestras. Y esta ciudad, como no podía ser de otra manera logró transmutarse a las antípodas aunque siglos antes ya Don Felipe II dijera aquello de que en sus Imperios el Sol nunca se ponía. En Carmona tardamos, pero el Sol tampoco se pone. Aquí de día, allí de noche y al revés. Riese Banderías de la Carmona santanderina o la Carmonita extremeña y sus lazos con los de aquí. ¿Ha preguntado alguien  por sus “hermanos” antipodos?. A esos “non sanctos” ¿Por qué le bautizarían con nuestra toponimia? Por algo sería… Era 1857.
